A message from awe.sm

Our goal with the awe.sm platform is to make it easier and cheaper for you to build compelling features and applications powered by sharing data. That not only means saving you the up-front costs of building the underlying infrastructure, it also means passing on the savings from our economies of scale so that your ongoing costs are lower than they would be from operating your own infrastructure.

Billing Overview

All of our billing is done on a per Subscription basis. A given Subscription can have many Projects, which in turn can have many Users.

The monthly bill for a given Subscription will be computed based on the total (de-duplicated) number of Users associated with the Projects on that Subscription and the selected Pricing Plan for that subscription.

Example:
A Subscription has three Projects — A, B, and C. Users Jon and Mary are on Project A; Mary is on Project B; and Jon is on Project C. You will be charged for 2 Users.

In addition, usage charges may apply for links created or stats retrieved programmatically via our APIs. (Stats retrieved via the awe.sm dashboard are always free.)

Each User on a Subscription contributes 10,000 included links per month and 1,000 included Stats API calls per month to the Subscription's free usage limits.

Example:
A Subscription has two users — Mary and Jon. The free usage limits for that Subscription are 20,000 links per month and 2,000 stats API calls.

Any additional usage beyond the free limits will be charged based on the corresponding Usage Pricing detailed below.

Per-User Pricing Plans

The selected Plan applies to all Users on a given Subscription. You can change the Plan or the number of Users at any time within the month and be charged on a pro-rated basis (granularity of 1 day).

* Projects are used to organize data, configure settings, and control user access.

** You will always be able to see all-time stats totals for your shares, but the ability to see data for a given time period (down to the hourly level) is limited by which pricing plan your Subscription is on.

*** These limits apply only to stats API calls made by external applications. Usage of the awe.sm reporting interface is unlimited.

Usage Pricing

In order to use our APIs, you must have a Subscription and all Subscriptions must have at least 1 User on a monthly Pricing Plan which includes 10k Link Creations and 1k Stats Calls per User per month. If the included free usage limits are exceeded for a given Subscription (based on the number of paid Users on that Subscription), the below pricing will apply for any additional API calls.

* This includes all links created on the Projects associated with a given Subscription regardless of whether they're generated through the awe.sm application or other tools.

** In order to make these calls, your Subscription will need to be on the Pro ($25 per user/month) Pricing Plan.
